Nextblue Partnerships

Connect your work with Nextblue

The Nextblue audience is always looking out for new unique and meaningful content. By becoming a partner, you too can communicate your work to an engaged readership in the water and climate sector.

We offer you the opportunity to create well-crafted, custom content for Nextblue readers, with the same journalistic quality as our editorial articles. We base all our content on quality, reliability and expertise, including our advertorials. In the past, we have published an article for the Blue Gold project in collaboration with the Dutch embassy and the Bangladeshi government. This article was published on our platform, as well as in the local newspaper.

We only work with commercial projects which align with our what we value and in which we can guarantee our editorial freedom. The stories will be created in such a way that they are useful and factually correct for our readers. With this, our readership can learn from your advertorial, form an opinion, and act. We always make it explicit that this content is an advertorial, so that it is clear to our readers. In doing this, we maintain respect for the reader and for the objectives of the clients.

Tell your full story

We can work alongside you to convey the story of your work in the form of a mini-documentary, podcast, or film.

Sometimes it is not possible to tell your story in an article. That is why we also produce mini-documentaries, podcasts, films, and a variety of other material about water and climate, alongside our partners. Together with your organisation we can convey your story in a custom production, executed by our broad network of journalists, photographers, designers, workshop facilitators, and researchers.

Currently, we are working on our latest film, Me and Mekong, which tells the story of people living in the Mekong delta. In these larger projects, we work together with local newspapers to amplify our reach in a culturally sensitive manner, and it has proven that our experience with different cultures and media approaches is extremely valuable in this process.

During the production we take care of the full journalistic process of production, editing, and publication on our media channels. All you need to do is tell your story.

Unique partnerships

Ranging from journalism networks to knowledge institutions, and from non-profit organisations to businesses, our partners span five continents. Each of those focusing on achieving sustainable change in coastal and riverine regions.

In short, each partnership is unique. We strive for long-lasting relationships with our partners so that we can support them at every step of their journey in the best way possible.

Do you have a question about partnerships? Please feel free to check our Nextblue Deal or contact Joep Janssen at [email protected].

Nextblue is member of the Netherlands Association of Journalists NVJ and the Society of Environmental Journalists SEJ. We work closely together with local journalists from different networks around the world, such as Water Journalists Africa.
